I am a weak, weak person. Last weekend in Riga I had the opportunity to shoot with an f/1.8 50mm lens. I only resisted the temptation to buy me one for about 48 hours.

It was waiting for me at the office when I came into work today, and now I can't wait to go home and try it out on my d70s.

My excuse is that it's not expensive. And that I earn enough to indulge myself ocassionally.

...right.

In other news, I've been gone a while. Or actually, I've been around, admiring art and keeping up with the galleries I watch, but not really contributing anything myself. Winter has proven to be something of a disappointment photography-wise this year; the only time there was pretty snow, I had to be at work, and then it either melted away or it was too dark to shoot. Bah.
